Refund Policy for Self-Guided Courses
If you purchased access to a self-guided course and are unable to access the course material due to technical problems, or decide the course does not meet your expectations based on the course description, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase. In the case of technical problems, I appreciate an opportunity to attempt to correct the problem first, but this is not required for a refund. Contact me here to request a refund.
Refund/Cancellation Policy for Instructor-Led Classes and Events
This policy applies to all in-person and online instructor-led classes.
If I have to cancel all or part of a class or event:
You will receive a full refund if I need to cancel a scheduled class or event entirely, and a prorated refund if I have to cancel a portion of a class or am unable to teach that class meeting due to a problem on my end.
If you cancel or do not attend:
For cancellations up to 2 weeks prior to the start of class—
I will refund your course fee, minus a 10% admin charge to cover payment processing fees (I am charged for both the original processing and the refund). Contact me here to request a refund.
From 2 weeks to 1 week prior to the start of class—
I will refund of 75% of the course fee.
Except, IF I am able to fill your spot from the waitlist, I will refund the full course fee, minus a 10% admin charge. Don’t count on the spot being filled from the waitlist! By a couple of weeks before the scheduled start, people on the waitlist have often made other plans. Contact me here to request a partial refund.
Within 1 week of the start of class, no refunds.
I am willing to offer credit towards a future purchase if you must miss a class for situations beyond your control (e.g. power or internet outages or genuine emergencies).
Please be respectful and take responsibility for situations that were under your control (e.g. you decided at the last minute you’d rather do something else or you just forgot).
Contact me here to request a credit for a class or event you missed due to circumstances beyond your control.
This courtesy may be revoked if it becomes a too-common occurrence.
